Wax Museum
Third graders at Country Lane had a very successful Wax Museum. Look at all the amazing costumes and projects!
Growth Mindset
Payne students have been learning about how growth mindsets can help them tackle challenging tasks. Last week, parents learned about growth mindsets, too! As part of our Payne Parent Workshop series, we provided an overview of Carol Dweck's work around growth mindsets and how to foster these traits in their children. ~Katie Berg

Colonial Day
5th graders at Payne participated in Colonial Day! They wore costumes, played Jacks, made corn husk dolls, and much more. It was so fun to walk around and see the engagement among all the 5th graders!

Wax Museum
Payne 3rd graders held a Wax Museum and invited family, Payne Staff, and District Office Staff. Each student chose a famous person to portray and had a speech prepared. As you can see, these kids really got into character!

GATE Enrichment Classes
GATE Enrichment classes were put on by the GATE committee this week. Breakout Room, Race Cars with Soda Water, Investigating Light and Lenses, and MIT App Inventor were a few of the choices. Close to 200 students attended these enrichment classes!










Breakfast & Brag
5th Grade teachers at Payne spent the morning celebrating students that showed progress on assessments this year! These students were invited to "Breakfast & Brag." What a great way to celebrate their achievements!
